Implant Treatments

Implants are screws made of titanium that are used in the treatment of missing teeth and placed into the jawbone. A dental prosthesis is placed on these screws. The advantage of implant treatment over other treatments is that neighbouring teeth are not damaged. In other words, neighbouring teeth do not have to be cut. The implant tooth acts as a root and you can easily eat, talk and laugh like a natural tooth. Dental implant surgery also includes a surgical process that replaces tooth roots with metal, screw-like posts and replaces damaged or missing teeth with artificial teeth that look and function much like real teeth. A dental implant can offer a pleasant alternative to ill-fitting dentures or bridges and is therefore more preferable to methods such as traditional bridges.

We plan and implement implant dental treatment in stages. These stages include planning and operation phases. The implant is inserted in 5 stages. There are 2 methods we apply in implant placement.
The first method we apply in implant treatment is immediate loading. In this method, we switch to implant treatment immediately after tooth extraction without waiting and place a new tooth.
The second method is to wait for a while after tooth extraction. The waiting period can be between 1 - 3 months. The purpose of the waiting period is to ensure better fusion of the bone and the implant.

The rate of failed implants is around %5 worldwide. Apart from this, implant operations are usually successfully fused to the jaw bone and the patient continues to use the implant made like his own tooth without any problem. After the operation, the implant is completely integrated with the bone after 2 - 2.5 months for the lower jaw and 3 - 4 months for the upper jaw.

After local anaesthesia, implant placement is performed as planned. In some patients, the jaw bone may not be sufficient. In such cases, implant treatment is performed under general anaesthesia since tissue addition may be required.

After the necessary diagnosis and planning are made in implant treatment, the prosthesis preparation stage is started. At this stage, a prosthesis is designed taking into account the patient's personal tastes and the condition of the existing teeth. An intraoral impression is taken. A colour that will look compatible with other teeth is decided. Afterwards, the prosthesis is prepared to adapt to the patient's existing teeth.
